Susan Sutherland

Susan Sutherland is the current director at Ascot Group. Susan has also been a part of many other companies including Eaton Vance Mutual Funds, Hagerty Holding Corp., and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Susan has had a long and successful career in many different aspects of business.

Susan started out as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney's Office in New Jersey. After working there for a year, they moved on to Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP where they became a partner in both the Financial Institutions Group and the Corporate Finance Group. Susan worked at Skadden for over 30 years before becoming an independent director at Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. in 2013.

In 2015, Susan left Montpelier to become an independent director at Hagerty Holding Corp. Hagerty is a leading provider of automobile and marine insurance for collectors with locations in the U.S., Canada, U.K and Germany. In addition to insurance, Hagerty offers roadside assistance and online valuation tools and publishes Hagerty Price Guide and Hagerty magazine, the vintage and collector car community's most read publication. Hagerty is frequently cited by Fortune Magazine as a "Great Place to Work". Susan was a member of the Audit & Finance Committee and the Human Resources & Compensation Committee while they were with Hagerty.

Susan has been with Ascot Group since 2018 and is currently the director there. Throughout their long and successful career, Susan has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience that they have used to help their succeed in their current position.
