Mark Wilford

Mark Wilford is an experienced executive in internal audit and risk management, currently serving as the Group Head of Internal Audit and Risk at Ashtead Group Plc since September 2022. Previously, Mark held the position of Group Risk and Audit Director at Balfour Beatty plc and VP Group Assurance and Special Advisor to the CFO at Sandvik, where Mark led the professionalisation of assurance capabilities. Additional roles include Director of Risk at Rolls-Royce, where Mark was responsible for the corporate risk profile, and Group Head of Internal Audit at Johnson Matthey. Mark's career also includes significant positions at KPMG in both the US and UK, and earlier experience as a European Corporate Auditor at United International Pictures. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting and Financial Analysis from the University of Warwick and is a member of the ICAEW.
