Navina Sanchez

Navina Sanchez is a Senior Climate Change Specialist focused on Just Transition at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Previously, Navina held several key positions at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, including Program Director for the Just Transition to a Decarbonised Economy for South Africa and leadership roles in the Climate Support Programmes. Additionally, Navina served as a member of the Adaptation Committee with UN Climate Change and as Secretary to the Chair of the Group of 77 and China at UNFCCC. Academic involvement includes roles as an Associate Lecturer and Assistant at the Global South Studies Center at the University of Cologne, where Navina obtained an M.A. in Culture and Environment in Africa and a B.A. in African Studies and Oriental Studies.
