Shan Benson

Shan Benson is an accomplished photographer and director with extensive experience in the beauty and skincare photography sector. At Shan Benson Studio, established in December 2016, Shan specializes in commercial, skin care, and editorial beauty photography, overseeing all aspects of photoshoots from pre-production to post-production. Current freelance roles include work with Nike since August 2023 and previous positions with G/FORE and Torrid as an on-figure and product photographer. Shan has also contributed as a freelance photographer for Stitch Fix, Gap Inc., and Centro39, with skills spanning digital tech, photo assistance, and studio management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Photography from the Academy of Art University and a Certificate in Graphic Design from UC Berkeley Extension.
