Ruben Obiang

Ruben Obiang is an experienced drilling professional currently serving as a Senior Drilling Supervisor at Assala Energy since November 2017, where responsibilities include writing workover execution programs and conducting well cost analyses. Prior to this, Ruben worked at Shell in various roles including Planning Engineer for the TT400K Project, focusing on commissioning processes, and Well Engineer Operations, overseeing operational execution of well programs. Earlier experience includes roles at Schlumberger as a Directional Driller and L/MWD Specialist Engineer, with a focus on drilling and measurement techniques. Ruben holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from ETDC-Dakar and has completed several specialized training courses in drilling and health, safety, and environment (HSE) practices.
