Kiho Kim

KiHo Kim is a seasoned, innovative ICT executive with over 30 years of experience in the research, development, and executive management of the business. In 1982, he started his career with the Korean Broadcasting System as a broadcast engineer. In 1991, he joined Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (SEC) where he was engaged in the research and development of HDTV transmission, ADSL, and HDD read channels. From 2000 he pioneered the research and development of 4G and led the commercialization of the 4G mobile and wireless systems including LTE-A and IEEE 802.11n at SEC. From 2011, as Executive VP of SEC, Dr. Kim headed the Digital Media and Communication R&D center and served as CTO. From 2013 to 2017, he headed the Printing Solutions business unit as CEO of SEC. He is currently the CEO of Tower DG, a consulting firm in Korea.

KiHo received a B.S. degree from Hanyang University (Korea) in 1980 and an M.S. degree from KAIST (Korea) in 1982, both in electrical engineering. In 1991 he received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in Electrical and Computer Engineering. KiHo is an IEEE Fellow and a member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea.
