Beatriz Morais

Beatriz Morais is an accomplished student and leader at the Instituto Superior Técnico, currently serving as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Women in Engineering (WIE) group within the IEEE-IST Student Branch, focusing on promoting gender equality and connecting future women innovators with industry professionals. Beatriz actively contributes to the Associação dos Estudantes do Instituto Superior Técnico in the Department of Social Responsibility, organizing sustainability and humanitarian events, and serves as a mentor in the NAPE-IST mentoring program for new students. Beatriz also gained practical experience through a summer internship in the Electromedicine Department at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça. Completing a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, previous education includes a first-year BSc in Medicine at Universidade da Madeira and completion of a High School Diploma in Science and Technologies. Additionally, Beatriz holds a Cambridge Advanced Certificate in English, demonstrating proficiency in the language.
