Felicia Fonseca

Felicia Fonseca has a distinguished career in journalism, currently serving as the Southwest assistant news director for The Associated Press since June 2005, overseeing coverage in New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada. Previously, Felicia was the Northern Arizona correspondent, focusing on significant regional topics. In addition to their news roles, Felicia has been a group fitness instructor at Summit Health & Fitness since September 2019 and taught journalism at Harvard Summer School in 2017. Felicia was also a fellow at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard and completed internships at Albuquerque Tribune, The Santa Fe New Mexican, and La Voz del Norte. Felicia earned a Bachelor's degree in journalism and Spanish from The University of New Mexico, where studies took place from 2000 to 2005.
