Pieter Ter Haar

Pieter ter Haar is a seasoned professional in the field of sustainable materials and carbon black production, currently serving as the Chair and Vice Chair of ASTM Committee D36 on Recovered Carbon Black at ASTM International since December 2017. Pieter is the Director of Sustainable Carbonaceous Materials at Circtec since June 2019 and has led Terhaar Consulting Inc. since July 2018. Previously, Pieter held the position of R&D Director at Pyrolyx USA, Inc. from September 2018 to May 2019, contributing to advancements in recovered carbon black production. As Head of R&D and QA at cct Stegelitz GmbH from June 2015 to August 2018, Pieter managed research and development efforts for eco-friendly carbon black alternatives. Earlier experiences include roles as Rubber Compounder at Dunlop Conveyor Belting and R&D Developer at Cordial Adhesives, following a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Hanze University, completed in 2011.
