Andrea Pettenuzzo

Andrea Pettenuzzo is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca since June 2021, focusing on the chemical development of sustainable processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Prior to AstraZeneca, Andrea worked as a Synthetic Organic Chemist - Biocatalysis at Almac Group from March 2019 to June 2021, where responsibilities included organic synthesis and purification of APIs, analytical assay development, and winning the ACE award for exceptional customer service. Earlier experience includes a role as a Process and Quality Control Specialist at FRASSON S.P.A. and a postgraduate research position at the University of Padova, where Andrea conducted research on ruthenium-based anticancer agents. Academic credentials include a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Galway and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Università degli Studi di Padova.
