Ramesh C. Kovi

Ramesh C. Kovi is a seasoned veterinary pathologist and toxicologist currently serving as the Director of Pathology at AstraZeneca since July 2023. With extensive experience in diverse therapeutic areas and modalities, Ramesh provides pathology input for study designs and protocols. As an Associate Editor for the Toxicologic Pathology Journal, Ramesh promotes knowledge and practices in toxicologic pathology. Previous roles include program pathologist at Pfizer, where responsibilities spanned oncology, inflammation, and rare disease programs, as well as senior pathologist at EPL and assistant professor at the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota. Ramesh holds a PhD in Cancer Biology from UMass Chan Medical School and multiple board certifications in veterinary pathology and toxicology.
