Vijay Vammi

Vijay Vammi is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in machine learning and data science, currently serving as the Enterprise MLOps Services & Technology Owner at AstraZeneca since October 2019. In this role, Vijay has established a machine learning engineering capability and strategy while leading a team to develop an internal GenAI platform. Prior to this, Vijay was a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at AstraZeneca, where key achievements included delivering the first GxP compliant ML project. Before joining AstraZeneca, Vijay held various positions at Arm, Vantiv, and Insight Data Science, contributing to data-driven contract negotiations and ETL operations. Vijay earned a PhD in Computational Biology from Iowa State University and a B.Tech in Bioinformatics from Vellore Institute of Technology.
