Cristian Rodrigo Perea Cena

Cristian Rodrigo Perea Cena is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in leading software development projects and teams. Currently serving as a Sr Software Engineer and Squad Lead for Wallet Development at AstroPay since August 2023, Cristian has successfully implemented multicurrency features to enhance global transaction capabilities. Prior to this role, Cristian worked at Mercado Libre from February 2016 to July 2023 as a Technical Lead Engineer, where efforts focused on redesigning the users API and delivering scalable microservices for a high-traffic online marketplace. Cristian's career also includes positions in academia as an Assistant Professor at Universidad Blas Pascal and previous engineering roles at INSUS Ingeniería Sustentable.
