Raúl Varela

Raúl Varela is a Backend Developer at AstroPay since June 2021, where key responsibilities include leading the Audit service and Data extraction service to enhance transaction integrity and support the Audit team's reconciliation process. Concurrently, Raúl serves as the Jefe de Trabajos Prácticos for the Taller de Programación Avanzada at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, teaching advanced Java and microservices concepts. Previous experience includes software development roles at Mercado Libre and technical leadership in Java Software Engineering at Poder Judicial de la Provincia de Mendoza, where Raúl focused on rebuilding and redesigning legacy systems. Raúl holds a degree in Sistemas de Información from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional and is currently pursuing a Master's in Software Engineering at Universidad Nacional de San Luis.
