Marco Govoni

Marco Govoni, PE, currently serves as the Director of Gas Control at Atmos Energy, where responsibilities include overseeing three Control Room Teams ensuring safe natural gas delivery to over 3 million customers across eight states. Previously, Marco held positions such as Director of Operations, managing storage and delivery operations in North/West Texas, and served as Senior Project Engineer, focusing on the design and management of various gas infrastructure projects. Prior to Atmos Energy, Marco worked as a Mechanical Project Engineer/Project Manager at Halgo Power, Inc., and owned PG Transmission Srl in Italy, specializing in hydraulic pump design. Additional experience includes roles at McElroy Manufacturing Inc. and ITMI F.B. spa, managing complex projects and engineering efforts. Marco holds a Certificate in Leadership from Southern Methodist University, a professional engineer license from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, and a Laurea in Material Science Engineering from Università degli Studi di Ferrara.
