Eric Kirkendall serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer and Chief Information Officer for Academic Health at Atrium Health since December 2022. Additionally, Eric is the Deputy Director and Director of Digital Health Innovation at the Wake Forest Center for Healthcare Innovation since July 2018. Previous roles include being an Executive Committee member and Education Chair at the American Academy of Pediatrics from 2013 to July 2020, and Associate Chief Medical Information Officer and Pediatric Hospitalist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center from June 2006 to July 2018. Eric completed a Master of Biomedical Informatics with a focus on Clinical Informatics at Oregon Health & Science University and has a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, along with pediatrics training at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Eric's clinical experience in pediatrics underpins a commitment to modern healthcare delivery and evidence-based practices.
