Theo Karagioules is a highly experienced Principal Applied Scientist at AT&T since May 2021, specializing in QoE-aware network optimization, video traffic identification innovations, and QoE model design within the production 5G network. Prior to this role, Theo served as a Senior Applied Scientist at Unified Streaming, focusing on low latency live streaming and optimization of real-time media streaming workflows. Theo began a research career at Huawei Technologies France from May 2016 to January 2020, where expertise in ABR algorithms and ML for traffic classification was developed. Further research experience includes a position at Inria, where Theo worked on combinatorial optimization and graph theory algorithms. Academically, Theo holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris in Networking, Information Science, and Communications, along with a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.
