Jihae Hong

Jihae Hong currently serves as an Advisor at the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities, focusing on the development of a new public health program. Prior experience includes serving as Managing Director at the Project on Resources and Governance, where Jihae Hong led initiatives to enhance natural resource governance through empirical analysis. As Country Director for Innovations for Poverty Action, Jihae Hong managed impact evaluations in Mongolia, studying the effects of significant U.S. government investments. Earlier career roles include Data Analyst at Marketing Evolution, where analysis of marketing campaign data informed client strategies, and Research Assistant at the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, assessing the impact of assistance programs on foreclosures post-2008 financial crisis. Jihae Hong holds a Master’s degree in Quantitative Methods in Social Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago.
