Sophia Lopez is a consultant at Avalere with extensive experience in health research and education. Prior to Avalere, Sophia served as a graduate research assistant at the USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health, focusing on legal health research for the World Health Organization's SRMNCAH Policy Survey. Additional roles include teaching literacy and STEM subjects as a summer program teacher with Wise Readers to Leaders, conducting research at USC's Culture and Mental Health Laboratory, tutoring students through the USC Joint Educational Project, and organizing mentoring events as the Director of Yearlong Programming at Troy Camp. Earlier experience includes a research internship at the National Cancer Institute, where chemical research on lung cancer drugs was conducted. Sophia earned a Master of Public Health from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Global Health from the University of Southern California.
