Patrick Ryan

Patrick Ryan is a seasoned aviation professional and freelance writer with extensive experience spanning various roles within the airborne sensor and C4ISR sectors. Currently serving as a freelance writer and advisor for AvBuyer Magazine since November 2019, Patrick specializes in the Aerial Work and Multi-Mission aviation sectors while also contributing to magazine operations and branding. As the founder and president of the Airborne Sensor Operators Group (ASOG) since February 2016, Patrick promotes professionalism and collaboration among airborne sensor operators globally. Previously, Patrick held positions as Director of European, African, and Middle Eastern Operations at R4 Incorporated and Program Manager at URS Corporation, overseeing significant operational and engineering projects. Patrick’s career began in the US Air Force, where a distinguished tenure from 1986 to 2007 included numerous command and staff assignments. Patrick holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from California State University, Fresno.
