Dongwook Shin

Dongwook (DW) Shin is an experienced AI Scientist currently working at Avodah, Inc.™ since August 2024. Previously, DW served as Principal Data Scientist at Research Innovations Incorporated from October 2021 to May 2024, where contributions included developing a DoD-funded CyberSU analytic engine, leading a project to build a Large Language Model, and creating a hate speech detection system. DW has also held key roles at IDS International as AI/NLP Team Lead and Engineer, contributing to AI-driven content generation and hate speech detection, and at the National Library of Medicine as an NLP/AI Researcher. Earlier experience includes leading development at Master Key Consulting and conducting VOIP security research at Qovia. DW holds a PhD/MS in Computer Science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Seoul National University.
