Mhamed Mengad

Mhamed Mengad is currently the Director at AWAK Technologies. Prior to this, they were a globetrotter for six months, travelling to various countries in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia, and the US. Mhamed has also worked as an Associate Management Consultant at Aurexia, a French boutique consulting and advisory firm that offers a focused suite of services within the financial industry. There, they were involved in several strategic and regulatory projects, such as advising a global custodian bank on the acquisition of a foreign regional player and helping a multinational bank with its regulatory compliance program. Before that, Mengad worked at HSBC Global Banking and Markets as a Rates Sales Junior/Assistant, covering public sector and interbank clients on their bond issuance hedging programs and derivatives execution. In this role, they were responsible for analysing financing options with the DCM team, developing hedging strategies, assessing and monitoring liquidity and counterparty exposures, and pricing and executing swaps and options for interbank clients.

Mhamed Mengad has a master's degree in Financial Markets from IÉSEG School of Management, a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Dublin Business School, and certification from the CFA Institute in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), CentraleSupélec in Green Belt Lean Six Sigma, and Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) – France in AMF Certification.
