Eileen Drage O'Reilly

Eileen Drage O'Reilly serves as the Managing Editor of Standards & Training at Axios since September 2017, previously holding the position of Standards and Style Editor. Eileen was elected President of the National Press Club from December 2022 to January 2024, leading the premier professional organization for journalists. Before this, Eileen worked as a freelance writer, editor, and web content producer for various publishing entities, including Bloomberg News, where projects involved editing e-newsletters and writing science articles. Eileen also held the role of Web Producer and E-Newsletter Editor at Bloomberg Government from April 2015 to July 2016, focusing on delivering critical news updates. Earlier experience includes freelance journalism for international affairs and healthcare regulations, web content writing at HealthKnowledge, and significant reporting roles in Southeast Asia with Bloomberg BNA and Financial Times Energy. Eileen holds a BA in Journalism from Marquette University and an MA in International Affairs from the University of Leeds.
