Marty Ning

Marty Ning is a Mechanical Engineer III at TuSimple since May 2018, specializing in the design, testing, and integration of sensor mounting structures for Level 4 autonomous Class 8 semi-trucks. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive engineering analyses, planning mechanical environmental tests, and conducting design verification tests. Additionally, Marty is the Project Mechanical Lead, overseeing a team to develop an innovative LiDAR and camera cleaning solution for autonomous trucks, while ensuring cross-functional collaboration and meeting project requirements. Prior to TuSimple, Marty held roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arizona, focusing on high-temperature molten salts for solar energy applications, and completed internships at Tenova. Marty holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine.
