Helaman Escobar

Helaman Escobar is an experienced leader in the genomics and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as the VP & General Manager of US Genomics at Azenta Life Sciences since June 2023. Previously, Helaman held key positions including VP and General Manager of Portland Operations at Twist Bioscience, where responsibilities included establishing a $100M DNA manufacturing facility. As Sr. Director of Translation Science & Research at Intermountain Healthcare, Helaman built a high-throughput human genome DNA sequencing center. Additional expertise includes positions at Eurofins Genomics, Eurofins - MWG/Operon, the University of Utah, and Brigham Young University, culminating in over 20 years of industry experience. Helaman holds an MBA in Operations and Project Management from Brigham Young University, alongside a B.S. in Molecular Biology.
