Sreeram Kannan

Sreeram Kannan currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at EigenLayer since July 2021 and maintains a position as an Associate Professor at the University of Washington, where the focus is on information sciences applications in blockchains, AI, wireless, and computational biology. Kannan previously held the title of Associate Professor at UC Berkeley and a Postdoctoral Fellow specializing in information theoretic methods in computational biology. The academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Information Theory and Wireless Networks from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, alongside internships at Microsoft and Qualcomm that involved research in distributed computation, opinion dynamics, and algorithms for cognitive radio networks. Kannan also possesses a strong educational background, with degrees in engineering and telecommunications from prestigious institutions.
