Marius Istrate

Marius Istrate is currently a Growth Advisor at BackboneAI. Prior to this, they were with Crew Capital, Snackable AI, Bunnyshell, FLOWX.AI, and 3VC. Marius has also been with BackboneAI and TRANSITION-ONE in the past. Their most recent position was with SmartDreamers as the Chief People Officer from March 2017 to February 2020. There, they were responsible for creating the people/talent/HR function from scratch, including talent acquisition, employer branding, talent and leadership development, HR business partnering, total rewards, and HR systems. Marius also grew the company from 120 to 3000 people and from 4 to 25+ offices worldwide as a member of the C-level leadership team.

Marius Istrate has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Universitatea Transilvania din Brașov. Marius also has a certification from The Leadership Consortium (TLC) in the TLC Leaders Program Certificate of Completion.
