Tim Rast is an experienced archaeology professional currently serving as the Archaeology Sites Database Administrator for the Government of Nunavut since September 2020, where responsibilities include managing Nunavut's Archaeology Sites Inventory using MS Access and ArcGIS. In addition to this role, Tim Rast has been the owner of Elfshot since 1997, specializing in unique artifact reproductions and providing archaeological consulting services for various media projects, including "The North Water" and "Vikings." Tim Rast's extensive experience includes positions with Baffinland Iron Mines Corp. as an Archaeology Supervisor, Memorial University of Newfoundland as a Per Course Instructor, and contract roles with organizations such as Hurtigruten and PONANT, focusing on archaeological permits and guiding expeditions in Arctic regions. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Anthropology (Archaeology) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Bachelor of Science in Archaeology from the University of Calgary.
