Buthaina Amin

Buthaina Amin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sustainability, governance, and business development. Currently, Buthaina serves as a Sustainable Development Advisory Board Member and part-time lecturer at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), while also holding the position of Head of Sustainability & Governance at Bahrain Islamic Bank - BisB. Previously, Buthaina worked at the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) in various executive roles, including Executive Director of Business Development CIO, where Buthaina established the Investor Aftercare unit, and Director of International Offices, managing the global network for attracting foreign direct investment. Buthaina has also held the role of Director of Legal Affairs at EDB, overseeing legal responsibilities and regulatory development. Additionally, Buthaina served on the board of WomeninFintechBH and worked as a Senior Associate at Trowers & Hamlins, specializing in corporate acquisitions and large-scale infrastructure projects. Buthaina holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Kent.
