Golf Course: The 18-hole "Balcones" course at the Balcones Country Club facility in Austin, Texas features 6,360 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. The course rating is 69.9 and it has a slope rating of 114 on Bermuda grass.  Designed by Bob Cotton, the Balcones golf course opened in 1957. Enjoy shopping in our full-service Golf Pro Shop and practicing on our Driving Range and practice areas. Private lessons are available.

Clubhouse Dining: The Balcones Rio Grande Restaurant allows you to eat a cozy family dinner or entertain friends and business associates.  Our Balcones 8600 Club offers a fine selection of food available for lunch and dinner, plus quick snacks and sandwiches for our players that stop in during their round of golf. In addition, private rooms for up to 400 guests are excellent for special events, receptions, banquets and meetings. 
 
The Club That Has the Most Fun: Balcones ensures there’s always a reason to be at the Club with your friends, talking and laughing with fellow Members, eating, and drinking.  There is a full calendar of FUN each month.
 
Swimming Pool: Balcones features two great pools. Our pool staff are all qualified professionals who gear their programs and attitudes toward the members who wish to gain a maximum enjoyment of the facilities. Members and guests will enjoy family gatherings and tons of social fun family events poolside during the summer months. 
 
Tennis: Our seasoned staff of tennis professionals provide private and group lessons, organize singles and doubles play, and manage tournaments for fun and challenge. Choose from a variety of leagues and clinics, plus enjoy our monthly Fun Socials and Mixers. Famous for our Junior Tennis programming, we have a group for kids of all ages.
