Krista Hughes

Krista Hughes is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and journalism. Currently serving as the Head of Global Media Relations and Public Relations at the Bank for International Settlements since January 2016, Krista has held multiple leadership roles, including Acting Head of Media and Public Relations and Senior Communications Specialist. Prior to this, Krista was with Thomson Reuters from November 2004 to December 2015, where roles included Chief Economics Correspondent and Latin America/Mexico Bureau Chief, focusing on Latin American economic development and monetary policy. Earlier experience includes positions at the Australian Associated Press and BRW Magazine, showcasing a solid foundation in journalism with a degree from RMIT University.
