Karen Akler Akrong

Karen Akler Akrong is an experienced associate at Bank of America since January 2021 and previously served as an intern in cybersecurity and IT audit at Eretmis Inc. from March to December 2023. In the internship role, Karen assisted in planning and executing IT audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as NIST, CIS, SOC 2, and SOX, while engaging in walkthroughs of IT processes to understand system functionalities and associated risks. Prior to this, Karen worked at Ecobank Ghana Limited from February 2011 to November 2018. Educationally, Karen holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Southeastern Oklahoma State University (2019-2020) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ghana (2005-2009).
