Katrin Treier-Marxen

Katrin Treier-Marxen is an experienced professional in the field of industrial biotechnology, currently serving as a Process Manager in Catalyst Production and previously as a Research Engineer at BASF since April 2011. Katrin's expertise includes downstream process development, fermentation process development, and optimization methods for proteins, peptides, and enzymes. Prior to this role, Katrin contributed as a PhD student at both Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Forschungszentrum Jülich, where work focused on high-throughput screening and protein optimization methods. Educational credentials include a Diplom-Ingenieurin (Dipl.Ing.) in Chemical Engineering from KIT and an international academic experience at Universidad del País Vasco.
