Tyler Jenkins

Tyler Jenkins is an experienced professional in government affairs and legislative relations, currently serving as the Manager of Government Affairs at BASF since July 2024. Prior to this role, Tyler held the position of Manager of Government Relations at the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) from May 2023 to June 2024, and worked as a Legislative Assistant in the United States Senate from January 2021 to May 2023, supporting Senator Shelley Moore Capito on the Committee on Environment and Public Works. Earlier experience includes serving as a Fellow at the Appalachian Regional Commission, focusing on research projects related to investment in Appalachian Opportunity Zones and technical assistance during the COVID-19 crisis, and conducting research on tech policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. Tyler's background also includes various internships that cultivated expertise in public opinion research, media relations, and educational recruitment, backed by a Bachelor's degree in History/Government from Harvard University.
