Samir Akach is a physician leader with extensive experience across various healthcare settings, including community-based, for-profit, non-profit, academic, and integrated organizations. Currently serving as Chief Medical Officer at BayCare Health System, Samir has held multiple significant roles, including Acting Chief Medical Officer and Assistant Chief Medical Officer at HCA Florida JFK Hospital. Over a decade at Geisinger, Samir contributed as Medical Director for Documentation, Medical Coding and Quality Coordination, and held key leadership positions in residency and fellowship programs. Samir founded and directed the Adult Hospitalist Program at Community Health Systems, significantly increasing market share and improving quality metrics.
