Mike Kennington

Mike Kennington, JD, currently serves as Associate General Counsel at Baytex Energy Corp., where responsibilities include managing corporate transactional and legal strategies related to litigation, acquisitions and divestitures, corporate governance, and environmental issues. With prior experience as Counsel at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC, Mike has developed expertise in commercial litigation and corporate transactions, particularly in the energy sector. Mike's earlier role as Associate General Counsel at Callon Petroleum Company involved managing multistate corporate litigation and A&D operations to safeguard organizational value. Additionally, experience as a Participating Associate at Lyman, Twining, Weinberg & Ferrell focused on leading complex legal cases and negotiating settlements. Mike holds a JD from South Texas College of Law.
