Pedro Molina Fernandez

Pedro Molina Fernandez currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer and Board Member at BBVA in Uruguay, a position held since July 2023. Between July 2016 and July 2023, Pedro was a professor in the "Big Data & Business Analytics" program at IE Business School, focusing on the strategic applications of Big Data within the financial sector. Pedro's extensive career at BBVA from 1996 to June 2023 included various key roles such as Global Credit Risk Solutions Principal Program Manager, Head of GRM Wholesale Credit Risk for South America, and Head of Global Risk Technology. Early in Pedro's career, leadership was demonstrated as the President and CEO of Alpha Consulting Junior Empresa from 1993 to 1995. Educational qualifications include advanced programs from IESE Business School and The Wharton School, as well as a degree in Economics and Business from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
