Ryan Hobbs

Ryan Hobbs is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in quality assurance and engineering leadership. Currently serving as Assistant Director IT Engineering at BC Pension Corporation since November 2024, Ryan previously held the role of Quality Assurance & Test Manager at BC Ferries from April 2012 to November 2024, where notable achievements included the development of quality assurance frameworks and strategies for testing. Additional experience encompasses significant positions at GenoLogics Life Sciences Software Inc., Schneider Electric, and the Ministry of Education, where Ryan excelled in quality practices, automation testing, and resource management. Educational qualifications include a BA in Computer Science & Economics from the University of Victoria and various training in leadership, coaching, and emergency response.
