Kate Corcoran

Kate Corcoran is an experienced professional specializing in investigations and crisis management. Currently serving as the Regional Manager for the Cruelty Investigation Division at BC SPCA since April 2019, Kate previously managed the Northern Regional Coroner's Office for the Government of Saskatchewan, overseeing a team of coroners and ensuring thorough investigations of unexpected deaths. With extensive investigative experience from roles at Xpera Risk Mitigation and Investigation, the BC Independent Investigations Office, and the BC Coroners Service, Kate has conducted numerous high-stakes investigations and produced significant reports. A background in broadcast journalism and conflict analysis further enriches Kate's skill set, enhancing the ability to navigate complex issues in both media and public service environments. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Conflict Analysis and Management from Royal Roads University and a Certificate in Broadcast Journalism from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
