Rob Taylor

Board Member at BCI

Rob is a retired educator who spent 34 years in the education sector, including 25 years as a classroom teacher and five years as director of instruction – human resources in School District 27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin). He also spent four years working on the staff of the BC Teachers’ Federation as an assistant director responsible primarily for pensions and benefits.

Rob is vice-chair of the Teachers’ Pension Board of Trustees, having first been appointed to that board in January 2015.

Rob holds a bachelor of education and master’s of education from the University of Victoria. He has also completed the Pension Plan Administration Certificate at Humber College, the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans’ Advanced Trust Management Standards program, and other professional development activities related to public sector pension plans.

Rob was appointed as a director on January 1, 2022. His term is scheduled to end on January 1, 2025.
