Aviwe Duze

Aviwe Duze is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Senior Manager for Electrical Distribution at BCM since January 2023. In this role, Aviwe directs operations to ensure a safe and sustainable electricity supply within Buffalo City, adhering to council policies and safety regulations. Prior to this, Aviwe worked at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd from July 2011 to January 2023, advancing through various engineering positions, including Field Services Engineer and Protection Settings and Co-ordination Engineer, focusing on plant reliability, maintenance planning, and optimization of electrical networks. Aviwe holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stellenbosch University, earned between 2007 and 2011.
