Daniel Shefter

Daniel Shefter is a Partner at BDT & MSD Partners since April 2018, specializing in advisory and investment services tailored for business owners and strategic investors. Prior to this role, Daniel served as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Law School from September 2016 to December 2019, teaching a course on Complex Deal Structuring. Daniel's extensive experience in investment banking includes a tenure as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs from December 1996 to April 2018, where Daniel focused on complex transactions and retired as an Advisory Director. Earlier in Daniel's career, experience as a Tax Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates was gained from August 1993 to December 1996. Daniel holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Columbia Law School, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Columbia Business School, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Hotel/Motel Administration from Cornell University.
