John Barun

John Barun serves as a member of the Board of Directors at Beaver Run Resort & Conference Center since December 2022, overseeing operations for a ski resort in Breckenridge, Colorado, and taking a leadership role in the technology team. With extensive experience in technology and consulting, John has held positions such as Head of Enterprise Technology at Susquehanna International Group since 2011, Managing Director and CIO at Geneva Trading from 2009 to 2010, and Owner of Capital Markets Consulting LLC from 1996 to 2009, where the firm focused on trading software development and advisory services for the trading industry. Additional roles include Senior Advisor to the CEO at Singapore Exchange in 2007, Acting CIO at a CFTC Designated Futures Exchange in 1999-2000, technical consultant at Chicago Mercantile Exchange, First Options of Chicago, and Senior Consultant at Andersen Consulting. John holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, completed in 1990, and attended Fenwick High School and St. Vincent Ferrer.
