Shwetha Sairam

Shwetha Sairam is a Product Development Engineer at BVI Medical since October 2021, with a strong background in biomedical engineering. Prior to this role, Shwetha served as a COVID-19 Intake Assistant at Cornell University, where responsibilities included supporting on-campus surveillance testing and managing patient verification. Notable projects include leading a Craniectomy Prosthesis Design Project, resulting in a provisional patent and multiple competition awards, including first place in a Design Competition. During time at the University at Buffalo, Shwetha contributed to a Senior Design Project focused on improving surgical outcomes for shoulder arthroplasty and conducted research on 3D printing dental guards. Shwetha holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from the University at Buffalo. Additionally, Shwetha was the Chapter President for Engineering World Health.
