Karsten Bo Weirup Malten

Karsten Bo Weirup Malten is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Development Director for the Core Banking and AML program at BEC since August 2020, focusing on modernizing the core banking platform to combat financial crime. Prior to this role, Karsten held various senior positions at Danske Bank from September 2008 to July 2020, including Senior Vice President and Development Director, overseeing a large team in Enterprise Systems and leading initiatives in digital process automation and core banking operations. Karsten's earlier career included roles as CTO at DIBS, Team Manager at Metropol Online A/S, and Development Manager at Unite2Help, alongside extensive experience with COREBIT and Sybase Denmark A/S. Karsten's educational background includes a Master's degree in Economics and Digital Transformation from Copenhagen Business School and INSEAD.
