Russell Els

Russell Els is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the coatings and chemical industries. Currently serving as Managing Director at Beckers Group since August 2019, Russell previously held several key positions at PPG Industries from June 2005 to July 2019, including Business Director for sub-Saharan Africa and Inks Segment Manager for EMEA. Prior to PPG, Russell worked at Duco Speciality Coatings as Account Executive and Key Account Manager, and held roles at PPG AECI Coatings, Dulux (Pty) Ltd, and NT Laboratory Supplies, building a strong foundation in technical and commercial support. Russell's early career included work as an Analytical Chemist and Trainee Chemist at Lennon Limited. An accomplished academic, Russell obtained a Master's in Business Leadership with a focus on Expatriate Management in Africa from the University of South Africa, alongside other relevant degrees in chemistry and business leadership.
