Fr. Jeremy Heppler, OSB, is a monk of St. Benedict's Abbey in Atchison, Kansas. He graduated from Benedictine College in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Spanish. In 2010, he completed studies at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Sacred Theology degree and a Master of Arts degree in Systematic Theology. That same year Fr. Jeremy was ordained to the priesthood.
Before entering the monastery in 2002, he served as the Director of Religious Education for St. Paul’s Parish in Olathe, Kansas, and as a teacher at Bishop Carroll Catholic High School in Wichita, Kansas. After professing triennial vows, he served as the Director of Campus Ministry for Benedictine College from 2004-2006. From 2010-2012, Fr. Jeremy served as Chaplain and Religion teacher at Maur Hill–Mount Academy in Atchison.
In 2013 he was named the both the Prior and the Oblate Director of St. Benedict's Abbey, and was named Co-Chaplain of Maur Hill-Mount Academy. He also serves a member of the board of directors for both Saint Benedict’s College and Achievement Services for Northeast Kansas.
