Haitam Laarabi

Energy/environmental Policy Project Scientist at Berkeley Lab

Haitam Laarabi is an experienced Energy/Environmental Policy Project Scientist at Berkeley Lab since November 2018, leading implementations for significant multi-lab projects focused on smart mobility and electric vehicle integration. Prior to this role, Laarabi served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at IIT-CNR, working on the H2020 EU Project REPLICATE, which demonstrated Smart City technologies in Florence, and contributed to the H2020 EU Project ESPRIT. Laarabi also held a position as a Research Fellow at the University of Genoa, focusing on the transport of dangerous goods. Earlier experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Novedia Group, where Laarabi contributed to community platform development and incident management systems. Laarabi holds Ph.D. degrees from Mines Paris and Università degli Studi di Genova, and an Engineer's Degree in Computer Software Engineering from Faculté des Sciences et Techniques de Mohammedia. A Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science was obtained from Faculté des Sciences Aïn Chock Casablanca.
