Rahul Rajeevkumar Urs is a Research Affiliate and Visiting Researcher at Berkeley Lab, focusing on green hydrogen applications for Homes on Wheels/Recreational Vehicles since January 2024. As a Doctoral Researcher at Khalifa University since August 2021, Rahul conducts a techno-economic investigation on utilizing green hydrogen for energy-efficient building energy storage under the guidance of Dr. Ahmad Mayyas. Previous roles include Events and Initiative Coordinator for IEEE Power & Energy Society in a voluntary capacity, Trainee in the Student Leader Programme at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Product Research Intern at The Solar Labs, Chief Student Coordinator at Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, and Electrical Engineering Intern at Bharat Electronics. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Engineering Systems and Management from Khalifa University (anticipated June 2025), an MSc in Electrical Power Engineering with Advanced Practice from Northumbria University, and a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
