Jim Downes

Jim Downes is an experienced IT and business leader, currently serving as the IT Asset Management Program Lead at Berkeley Research Group since April 2024, where responsibilities include managing a $40M annual budget and overseeing IT Asset Management and Client Data Management. Prior to this role, Jim held various positions, including Senior Vice President at Income Research + Management from May 2014 to August 2023, where strategic direction was provided for a $96B asset manager. Experience also includes roles at Fidelity Investments as Project Manager and Vice President, as well as serving as a Senior Business Analyst at Fidelity Capital Markets. Jim’s career commenced at MFS Investment Management as a Senior Trading Specialist. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Vermont, earned in 1998.
